About Firefox
Mozilla Firefox is a free web browser which does the same job as Microsoft Internet Explorer, but works independently of Microsoft programs. This means it is less vulnerable to security issues than Explorer. We know of no difficulty running the revision tasks using Firefox.

Using Firefox
Open Firefox using the shortcut that will be placed on your desktop. Check that Javascript is enabled by going to Tools, Options and clicking on the Web Features icon. Click the tick boxes for Java and Javascript.
To use Firefox each time you open the revision tasks, you will need to make Firefox your default browser. Before you start using the CD, open Firefox and accept the offer to make it your default browser. Then every revision task you click on will open in Firefox. If you prefer to use another browser when you go online (or you have family members who prefer a different browser), then after you have finished using the CD, open that other browser and reset the default to that browser.
No special instructions should be needed for you to use Firefox with the revision tasks. If you want to use it for all your internet work, read the information in the Help menu.
